I have made the most of hours and hours of observation work, learning about the mechanism of group dynamics.
Also I have relished watching the wealth and complexity of the language used by dogs as well as their emotions and attitudes whilst living together.
Among the dogs welcomed into my home, some were foster dogs as part of collaborations with the associations Dogplanet, Patas, and Amores Perros Cádiz.
I consider that I have benefited from unique and extremely valuable experiences with each of these creatures. Misunderstanding, frustration, self questioning are unavoidable when liaising with unsteady dogs whose stress levels are high.
Yet my commitment has allowed great teachings. Not to mention the joy of being able to help them build a healthy relationship with a human being but also the satisfaction of joining in the collective effort to look for their ideal family as well as help them be happier with other dogs and humans around.
I would not learn so much from observing and dealing with issues without doing training courses based on the most recent scientific studies (see more). Keeping up with some type of training is, and will always be, key to ironing out my contribution in helping multispecies families that need help.
Here I would like to express my gratitude to Mary of Pasion4Dog for showing me the way to ethical dog training as well as to the association ANPECEC for supporting me, among other ethical dog trainers in Spain, in the pursuit of this human and canine adventure.
